Reports To: Maintenance Supervisor

Hours: 40 + hours a week (weekdays and weekends)

Job Overview:

We are seeking a skilled Maintenance Electrician to join our team. As a Maintenance Electrician, you will be responsible for inspecting, troubleshooting, repairing, and maintaining electrical systems and equipment. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in industrial and commercial electrical work, with knowledge of blueprint reading, schematics, and high voltage systems.

Responsibilities:

Inspect electrical systems and equipment to identify issues and determine necessary repairs.

Troubleshoot electrical malfunctions using appropriate testing devices.

Repair or replace faulty electrical components, such as motors, switches, and wiring.

Install new electrical systems and equipment according to blueprints and specifications.

Perform preventative maintenance on electrical systems to ensure optimal performance.

Collaborate with other maintenance team members to complete projects and tasks.

Always adhere to safety protocols and regulations.

Requirements:

High School Diploma or general education degree (GED).

Must possess good mathematical skills.

Must be able to assess a situation and come up with a solution under the guidance of the Supervisor.

Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.

Must have the strength and flexibility to perform the above-mentioned duties and be able to lift 75 lbs.

Ability to multi-task and prioritize under the guidance of the Supervisor.

Proven experience as a Maintenance Electrician or similar role.

Strong knowledge of industrial and commercial electrical systems.

Proficient in blueprint reading and interpreting schematics.

Familiarity with high voltage systems (480V and above).

Experience working with logic controllers (PLCs) is a plus.

Ability to use power tools and other electrical testing devices effectively.

Excellent troubleshooting skills to identify and resolve electrical issues.

Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions accurately.

Good communication skills to collaborate with team members.

Valid US issued driver's license with a good driving record.

Ability to pass background and drug and alcohol tests.

Availability to work long hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays as required/assigned.

Ability to work safely in all types of weather.

The employee frequently is required to climb or balance. The employee is occasionally required to sit and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.

Specific vision abilities required by this job include distance vision, peripheral vision, and depth perception.
