His dam is an own daughter of Gay Bar Silver (2x Appaloosa Cutting Horse Hall of Fame, 4x World Champion Cutting Horse).

The sire of this gelding, RJ Lil Joe Acre, was started in reined cow horse, limited showing at a regional club and then sustained an injury. He has produced foals that have gone on to make game horses, cutters, ranch horses, kids horses. His dam has been shown appaloosa regional shows and has ROMs in halter, ALL ranch events, and her versatility award. You will search hard and long before you find spots bred this well with THIS much color!

We owned this guy as a 2 year old and sold him riding around really nice to a great client out east. Life got in the way, and over the past few years he primarily sat around with only getting ridden maybe a few times a year. We were offered to buy him back, slicked him up, started riding him again, and he seemed to pick right back up where he was!

He breaks in the poll, knows his leads, and goes around both ways. He is crazy athletic for an appaloosa. We swing ropes over his head and got him comfortable with our desensitizing tactics, and have ridden him out on our trails (weather permitting with this crazy rain). He lives next to our longhorns and seems unphased by cattle.

This horse is packed with potential still at this age. He'd be an INCREDIBLE rope prospect or ranch riding horse. He hasn't had his legs ridden off, and just needs CONSISTENCY. After months off, he has saddled tight and needed to be lunged before riding. (He has NEVER bucked with us! Just rode tight - remember, he got ridden maybe 6 total times from the ages of 2 to 5). As we are riding him daily, we have had NO issues (and no, I don't think he could get someone off if they tried). I am going to write it off as green for his age, because by far this guy is not villain. However, he is NOT getting sold to a beginner because he has shown he will get fresh with time off.
