Description: Part time position. Works an average of 8 hours per week. Scheduled hours are Tuesday 4-9pm and rotating weekend shifts. Assists the librarian on duty at the Information Desk. Gives accurate information to those requesting assistance by telephone or in person. Accepts payments and makes change. Monitors the study rooms and public access stations. Ensures the orderly flow of users and prevents misuse of equipment. Works in busy conditions that may be stressful. Assists with building security via regular walk-throughs in the main, lower, and meeting room levels.

Qualifications

Four-year college degree preferred

Previous work experience dealing with the public preferred
