Diesel Mechanics

JOB DESCRIPTION:

* Diagnose vehicle problems based on customer complaints and inspection.

* Perform work as outlined on repair order with efficiency and accuracy and in accordance with dealership and factory standards.

* Communicate with Parts Department to obtain needed parts.

* Examine assigned vehicle to determine if further safety or service work is required or recommended.

* Communicate with Service Advisor immediately if additional work is needed, if work outlined is not needed, or if repairs cannot be completed within the promised time.

* Road test vehicles when required or refer to the test technician.

* Participate in manufacturer-sponsored training programs, schools, and events.

JOB REQUIREMENTS:

* Minimum 3 years related experience and/or training; or combination of education and experience. Degree in diesel repair is a plus.

* Previous experience repairing diesel vehicles in a dealership setting, including engine repair and electrical diagnostics.

* Navistar and Cummins certifications desired.

* Ability to stand up to 8 hours per day & lift up to 50 lbs without assistance.

* CDL with passenger endorsement or ability to obtain upon hire.

* Must pass pre-employment screens.
